Several years ago a bunch of us cruised up to Springdale for a little Show & Shine at the old Flying Monkey restaurant and parked on the grass. It was a real nice day, as usual. The sky was so great and the mountains shown off the sun’s rays like a heavenly spot. I walked by Steve & Chris Aardema’s 1939 Chevy and saw the reflection of some hills to the east of us and couldn’t resist a reflection photo on their fender. Too bad I’m caught in it also, but the photo now on the top of this site has always been one of my favorites. For years it was identifiable to all those who used DesertCruzin.com for their car events go-to site. I sold that site to Steve and miss seeing this identifier so I threw it up here for a spell for old times sake. I hope you enjoy it also.  Ken.

I want Spring to come on back here and let’s get this cold stuff behind us. I love all things car related and anything under 100 degrees is what we need. I know whine, snivel, moan, but I am not NOT NOT a cold weather guy. Compliments of the U. S. Army a couple of winters in South Korea will cure anyone wanting cold weather. Then, 1984 to Heber City, UT and had three NAPA Auto Parts stores. One in Heber City, one in Coalville, and one in Morgan. Beautiful country but not fun if you are not a skier, snowmobiler, or just brain dead for about 7 months of the year. Then spring comes rolling in and then back out and then back in and then the ice melts and mud and slush and salt on cars and crapola what a mess. “Whaa, whaa, whaa.”

Seems like most of what we see now right on through the holiday season is fundraisers to help the less fortunate. I know everyone makes these as good as they can be I think most of the charities are surprised at the generosity of a bunch of ole hot rodders so keep it up folks I know it is appreciated.

 

Also this week is the SEMA show in Vegas so if your going to visit your favorite shop you might want to call first to make sure they are in.
