Got A Few Events This Weekend

tonys truck

I hope everyone is healthy and doing well. We have slacked off a bit lately but I think the sooner we get back to normal the better. We are lucky to live here with the benefits of living in a small town.  While the rest of the country loses its mind. It looks like we are starting to have a few events if we find out about any safety rules or anything we will pass them along if not kind of a good rule of thumb keep a mask with you and whatever you require to to feel and be safe.

We have reset the calendar and will start loading with any events we know of and will continue to do so each month until we are back to normal. This weekend we have a few events we are aware of  see below. Lets get out and support all we can and have safe fun. Thanks Steve.

7/18/20  Tam’s Jam Car Show  See the calendar for more info.

7/17/20 to 7/19/20  Brian Head Resort Car Show See the calendar for more info.

7/17/20 to 7/19/20 Goodguys Car Show SL City Fairgrounds, See the calendar for more info.

Drive By Birthday

Hi everybody Drew Pearce

Calling All Cars!

Another drive-by birthday. This time on the other end of the spectrum. Her name is Taylor, a wonderfully cute, intelligent, and lonely to-be-7-year-old. Please bring a business card or small piece of paper with your Name, Phone Number, and Car Make and Model. Taylor will be drawing from the bucket of cards for the lucky winner of $100 cash! (Cards will be collected at the blue 1978 Cadillac.)Calling All Cars!

The car parade is this Friday, May 29, in Bloomington Hills. We will line up at 7:30 for a drive-by at 7:45. Please meet at the Church near the corner of Hidden Valley Drive and Athena Drive. (From Brigham Road turn south onto Hidden Valley Drive. Athena Drive is the last street on your left.) Hope to see you there! Thanks, Steve, for putting this out there!

We Havent Forgot About You

I got this from Shane

Ok here we go Quarantine Cruise III

“Take this Virus and shove it”

Will be held Wednesday May 6th, we will gather at Sunset Corners parking lot where we had Toys For Tots at 10:00am and leave at 10:15 am and head North on Bluff St and drive to Enterprise Park and stop there for lunch (a sack lunch is advisable) and bring chairs to sit around 6’+ apart for a short well fair check amongst our friends, then leave back down Hwy 18 to Veyo turn right and drive down past Gunlock Reservoir to the old 91Hwy and on home…

Any Car or Motorcycle will be welcome!

With all that’s been going on in the world we have been like most everyone taking care of our families and doing our part to be safe. All the while working on cars. It looks like we might be coming out the other end of this COVID-19 before to much longer. Hopefully.

We have temporarily shut down the CALENDAR while we try to get everything in order and see what events are going to survive. We hope everyone is well and we can’t wait to get back on with our lives.

Here at the shop we have been using this time to renovate and upgrade our facilities and services. We have also had a friend of ours Colt Proctor who is an Master tech, tuner and DYNO expert join us. Last Monday our new DYNO was waiting for us when we got here Monday morning. we should have it up and running next week. So we can continue to service our customers at the level they have come to expect.

was waiting for us when we got here in the morning. We  should have it set up and running next week. So we can continue to service our customers at the highest possible level that they have come to expect.

Also this year marks our 10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY serving our friends here in St George, without you  and your support we would not have made it and we cant thank you enough. And to show our appreciation we will be doing random giveaways, discounts and gift certificates. And for anyone that enters our drawing once we have the DYNO up and we running we will be giving away some free DYNO time. Watch for our entry form in the next week or 2.

Again Thank You for all your support for us over the years it means the world to us and our families.

Also as the warm weather moves back in to sunny Southern Utah. We hope they wont keep us locked up for ever so lets take the time to get our cars ready for when we are back to what we love. Lets not forget our cars make sure they also get their health check up. Air Conditioner check up and or recharge. Lube Oil and Filter and just general over all health check up.

We are going to start our weekly updates going each week as we get our calendar in order.

Covid-19 Gives Us A Few Strange Opportunities

Hope everyone is well and not going to stir crazy but if you are on Wednesday. All the car guys care bunch is going to do a little cruise see below. We are open and practicing our social distancing and cleaning procedures at the shop. Remember if you haven’t serviced your car yet or made sure you have your A/C serviced and working right why don’t you do it during the quarantine.  We are even able to totally sanitize the inside of your car if you are concerned about it. If you would like more info about this or any other service just give me a call. Steve 435-313-2200. I took the below info from Kens Atrium site no one says it like Ken.

Thanks Steve

Having a massive “Cabin Fever” attack again yesterday we had to get out of isolation for our daily swing around Southern Utah to keep from going anymore buggie than we already are. Be sure to click right here → http://www.myatrium.com/ to check out our first ever sighting of the illusive St. George Ostrich we have heard stories about since I moved here in 1992 and Linda has lived here since 1973. We were not really prepared for it but thanks to my trusty iPhone I caught a snapshot of her (him?). This was just across the road by the new middle school in the fields. Had it not been for some folks walking there with their crazy Black Lab we may have had time for a few more shots but y’all know Labs.

This is very significant to car people because we were driving at the time—-I think that’s a close enough connection.

Maybe if we are not all ordered to stay in other than emergencies we could maybe take a cruise on Wednesday out through Gunlock and Veyo and back around to Santa Clara without having to get out of our cars and chat, get too close, and do nothing after the cruise. It seems as though “social distancing” is working so I don’t want to be the cause of anything super nuts. How about 1 PM meet in front of Dutchman’s at the corner of Santa Clara Drive and Canyon View Drive – KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. We could shove off at about 1:15 and just take a nice, warm afternoon tottle up through the woods and hills. No need to RSVP or make any big plans. Show up if you are feeling like getting your car out or just spend the day chillin’ around home….All Good!

There is a lot of fun events planned we hope to see you there.

Undoubtedly COVID-19 Caused By Trump’s Global Warming

Well everything seems to be cancelled I saw Kens Post and thought I would share to those who may not get it. We hope all this passes soon and non of our friends are effected. In the meantime we will be taking the recommended precautions. But we are still here working. Just give us a call.

Enjoy Kens Post below.

Thanks Steve

Undoubtedly COVID-19 Caused By Trump’s Global Warming

By Ken on Mar 19, 2020 10:59 am

Can’t chat much about cars so I am getting a little more political. For example, if Obama were the President right now and he was doing exactly the same thing Trump is doing the Right wing would be all over him….I apologize in advance for the people I will offend:

Not much to update on anything to do with cars going on anywhere in the whole world….is that crazy or what. I think in my 74 years I have only seen something like this happen on only two other occasions but those were predominantly just here in the U.S. You know what those two other times were. 911 World Trade Center attack and in 1963 when Pres. Kennedy was assassinated.

This too shall pass. Time generally takes the edge off the pain and suffering for most. Right now I am so thankful for all of our citizens who are still working. We have good, clean water to drink, electricity and gas, there are plenty of things to buy to eat (we may not find exactly what we want but we won’t starve). The emergency services and healthcare workers are bravely looking after us, and I believe our government official have our best interest at heart. Yes, I mean from the President down and both parties. If the news would report just the news and not continually raise the ire of blame we would have about everything.

Even we old duffers are getting special shopping times at a bunch of places. Most of the ones I have heard about are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays around 7 AM until about 8.

Maybe since there should be a glut of oil in reserves since few are driving much we may see gas dip below $2 bucks in a month or so….can’t use it but at least that seems cheap.

We can see the entire downtown part of St. George from our house and it is like a ghost town down there. At peak commute time this morning I could only spot 9 cars running around and that’s counting the freeway.

Hang in there.

Babble, Babble, Babble.

PLEASE READ MANY CANCELLATIONS

57 Chevy PU Merged 2

I was going to try and change the calendar when I got a request to cancel a show. Then the cancels went nuts SO I WONT BE CHANGING THE CALENDAR . Ken pretty much sums it up below but until further notice I send what is sent to me as I get them. I would say it is safe to say everything is cancelled until further notice. See below.

COVID-19 Scare IS Scary

By Ken on Mar 12, 2020 04:46 pm

According to Shane all Car Guys Car activities are suspended temporarily and probably for the best since we really don’t know what’s going on there. Bill Thomas just informed me the March 28th SunRiver show is cancelled as well. Too many people trying to turn it into some political event and that is just plain wrong to do right now. Kind of like pots and kettles don’t ya think. Just think if all news people would stay out of it for 72 hours and see if Righties & Lefties could do what’s best without the continual MSNBC and FOX types bantering. I switched to CNN (dumb I know) and it was a field day because they seem to think Pres. Trump got real sneaky and stole a bottle of virus stuff from China and sprinkled it around Gov. DeBlasio’s feet.

If all this wasn’t so sad and scary it would be hilarious. Dang if this doesn’t sound like some idiot who won’t go to FaceBook because of all the political prothletising (that’s me, of course).
