We Have Another Busy Weekend Coming Up

I got this email from Steve Underdahl. Last month we had “kinda of a road trip to the Muddy River Cafe. We drove our AC’ed vehicles because it was too hot. I have received numerous requests to repeat the event so on Saturday,September 16, the Over The Hill Gang will motor on down to the Muddy River Cafe for noon lunch. Meet at Smith’s parking lot at 11 am PDT to caravan to Moapa or meet at 1825 Highway 168 at noon. Fearless Leader Steve.

 Denny Rutkoskie has extended an invitation to all of us to visit his Collection just off Washington Dam Road Wednesday around 10:30 AM right after Hangout. He told me he has several new cars since we have been out last. He has over 30 cars out there and mentioned cleaned the place up for our visit (it always looks great to us).  We can cruise out as a group from Ricardo’s or just meet out there at 1483 Midway St., Washington, UT

We are not holding a car show in Kanab this year due in part to shortage of members to support it. Instead we are holding a “Show & Shine” every second Saturday of the month on N. Main Street (Kanab) from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, hoping to enlist more members in the club.

Rods or customs come around 8 AM for parade line-up and show spots. You DO NOT have to register, but we recommend you let Lydia Nelson know to expect you. Please contact Lydia Nelson (Troys Custom Paint & Body-Ivins) at 435-668 2623 (text/call/email) to be sure you have show and parade positions reserved. If you happen to have an old Soap Box Derby car hanging in your man cave, Ivins is also having a Soap Box Derby race (registration required on the Ivins City web-site!). Enjoy The Weekend Cruise to Enterprise CornFest Car Show 9 AM Saturday

All hands welcome to join in with Frank & Roni Diaz (’67 Corvette Stingray – Jet Black) and cruise to Car Show…Meet Smith’s Parking Lot (St. George Blvd. & Bluff St.) about 8:30 for prompt 9 AM Departure. That gives all time to gas up, drink up, snack up, and wake up. This is a Non-Club Specific cruise with everyone welcome. No real need to pre-register or even stick around and show their cars, but should be a great morning for a cruise. Tuesday is the weekly Gears, Grub, and Mud at Peggy Sue’s Diner in Mesquite 8 AM hosted by the Over the Hill Gang down that-a-way. Punch this HERE  to check out their flyer (remember time difference from MST).

Wednesday is Hot Rod Hangout – Come out and enjoy breakfast and chat. Ricardo’s is our host and do a awesome job taking good care of us all. Check out the details smack BAM! 8:30 AM or there-a-bouts & run what ya brung.
