As usual, the Parowan Chamber of Commerce spiffed up the whole town with the help of tons of volunteers and put on another great Car Show. Lots of great cars, more food than anyone could imagine, and some of the most friendly people in the world made the whole event amazing.
Once again, the Car Guys Care monthly Cars & Coffee at Perks was well attended and enjoyed by all. Be sure to watch for some of Doug’s photos on the Facebook page.
As the first full week of June begins we are all looking forward to more car related events with all that goes with them. no matter if it’s a Car Show, Cruise-In, or Show & Shine there will be plenty to chose from around the desert. The DesertCruzin staff would like some help clearing up some of the Collector Car lingo……..Does anyone have a real clear definition of the difference between a “Show & Shine” and a “Cruise-In”? We think our vote goes to, No Difference at all. Maybe just a matter of what part of the country you come from. We all know a Car Show is a Car Show, and that has a pretty clear meaning to all of us. Oh, well, we’ll just keep calling them whatever.
Tuesday – Gears Grub, and Mud at Peggy Sue’s Diner in Mesquite at 8 AM Mesquite time is a fun, informal get together of auto enthusiasts and open to all. The group seating area there is limited to about 20, but there are more booths available for spill-overs. Parking is good and food is much better than average. This is an event happening each week and organized by The Over the Hill Gang.
Wednesday 8:30 AM (or so) is Hot Rod Hangout at Ricardo’s on So. Bluff. Weekly very informal breakfast, or not, put on by who knows whom but is well attended all of the time. Great parking and free beverage with breakfast and some outstanding deals on food. Please give the staff at Ricardo’s a break because sometimes they go from zero people to serve to 45 or more in just a few minutes. There is no one is the food service industry other than a buffet who could handle things as well as our friends at Ricardo’s……our thanks to them. No restaurant in the area can match the great parking right on one of the main streets in St. George.
