Tuesday, March 1st Picnic Cruise to Zion

Cruise to Sringdale & Carmel Junction Tuesday, March 1st:

EVERYONE ANY TYPE OF CAR OR BIKE WELCOME.

Pack your Lunch pail and come meet us over at Zion Harley Davidson at 10 am on March 1st to cruise out to Zion National Park for an old fashion Picnic! After we enjoy our lunch there in the Midday Sun, with some light chit chat and easy tunes, we’ll then cruise on down the canyon to the narrows (as the Zion Shuttle is not running so we have the roadway to ourselves), then, for those who wish to follow, drive through the SR 13 Zion Tunnel out the Carmel Junction with a stop at the Thunderbird Restaurant for a slice of “Ho Made Pie”!   ……..Weatherman says it’ll be about 73 – 78 degrees, with a light breeze….. just a perfect day for an outdoor event with great friends and cool cars! Remember to bring a folding chair! You may want to throw in a hat and jacket just in case….we can’t forget this is UTAH!!!   →   Cruise to Zion for Picnic & More

Freddy’s Saturday & then Cruise on Tuesday to Zion

The weather on Saturday at 3 PM should be as good as it can get for the Trippin’ at Freddy’s located just to the North of Costco.

Tuesday I think about everyone is looking forward to the Picnic Cruise to Zion Park on Tuesday at 10 AM:

This from Paul Winn: Ok gang, let’s dust off the ol’ station wagons, fill up your thermos, make a Dagwood sandwich, pack your Lunch pail and come meet us over at Zion Harley Davidson at 10 am on March 1st to cruise out to Zion National park for an old fashion Picnic! After we enjoy our lunch there in the Midday Sun , with some light chit chat and easy tunes, we’ll then cruise on down the canyon to the narrows (as the Zion Shuttle is not running so we have the roadway to ourselves), then, for those who wish to follow, drive through the SR 13 Zion Tunnel out the Carmel Junction with a stop at the Thunderbird Lodge for a slice of “Ho Made Pie”!   ……..Weatherman says it’ll be 66 degrees, with a light breeze….. just a perfect day for a outdoor event with great friends and cool cars! Remember to bring a folding chair!

Our Thoughts & Prays with Lucky Brundle’s Family & Friends

I am very sad to have to report our good friend Lucky Brundle passed away Wednesday afternoon at 4:10 PM at the VA Hospital in SLC.

Luckey’s brother-in-law, Milton Erickson reported nothing for anyone to do right now other than continue to ask for blessings for Laura, kids, and all the family.

Hot Rod Hangout and Freddy’s This Week

Wednesday looks like another very nice February day around these parts for Hangout at 9 AM, or whenever, with something like 65 degrees for the high (which will most likely be late afternoon), but we will take it, so round up all the cobwebs and come on out and grab on of Ricardo’s great breakfast specials along with a free drink. The free drink with a meal doesn’t sound like a big discount, but just think about it…….party of two – maybe one gets the all-you-can-eat pancake special for $3.99 and the other maybe the senior bacon & egg special for $4.39 along with say one soda and one coffee and you are looking at a total of $8.38 before tax. If the drinks were not free that would raise the bill to about $12.88 before taxes. Shazaam! BTW, when you see an item in a post that is blue and underlined that means you can click on that to view additional information.

Now you think 65 degrees is good for February just standby for Trippin’ at Freddy’s Cruise-In and enjoy the predicted 74 degree shooter….Nice, nice, nice – Dang! I sure miss the frost, snow, ice, wind, runny nose, watery eyes, cold fingers, etc, etc, Yeah, Right!

Be Well – Everyone

In our little corner of the DesertCruzin Region we (Collector Car Enthusiasts) have had a fairly large number of our car loving friends with some health concerns both old and new . I know it comes with the territory of being a senior, but enough is enough. I recently heard Julian (long time Desert Rodders of Southern Utah organizer) was in the hospital, Chall Kelker (everybody’s friend – Red & White Olds) was in there with one issue or another, and several other names also graced the conversation – Larry Barnett (’48 Ford Convertible Yellow), Annabel Curtis (’66 Red Mustang Convertible), Marlene Remington (DayTrippers), one of our fellow GM guys to the north (wants to remain anonymous), Lonn Black (’56 Ford Pick Up Yellow), Patty Crawford (’59 Porsche #78 White), Jim & Jerry Aske (’66 Orange Mustang Convertible), Sally Bieniek (Orange Crush Challenger), Yvonne Dastrup (’66 Blue Mustang Fast Back), whew! and on and on and on have all had some issues recently.

To those mentioned above and EVERYONE else with stuff going on – Please Get Well!

Flash Breakfast & Short Cruise Saturday

Low Pressure, No Pressure!!!!   Drive what you wish —-

Saturday Meet at Bishop’s Restaurant East at around 8:15 AM (To attempt beating most of the 9-9:30 breakfast rush) and chuck down some off their amazing, inexpensive chow and then cruise out to Coral Canyon to view one of the most unusual, amazing, clean, and rare rare rare cars….You may have never seen this model before so don’t miss this chance. And, after that quick stop those who wish can cruise with us out by Sand Hollow and back the Bypass around the airport and back through SunRiver, Bloomington and peel off whenever wherever however you wish. Dang, I sure love me! Too bad I should never eat out again until I can comfortably drive a 1956 Corvette Tight Belly Model……Trouble is I love cars and have never met one I didn’t like….Oh, Yeh! There’s the great friends in there too.
