What to do About Car Show Conflicts ???

Over the years we have all experience the dilemma of which events should we do or not do. At hand this moment we have a couple of little conflicts coming down the pike and need some feedback on what most would prefer to be a part of around the Southern part of Utah.

Just for drill check these out:

The “Saturday Market” really doesn’t conflict with the “Rebels with a Cause.” However, the “Saturday Market” and the “Tink’s Car Show” do unless the plan forr some would be to cruise tto Cedar City after Tuacahn ends.

Down the road a bit to the end of August:

I had some input yesterday from one of our very active collector car people suggesting we do a cruise a little bit earlier to Enterprise and check out the Car Show and then cruise back to Pine Valley and a little bit later lunch at the Branding Iron…..Dilemma? What ya’ll think??? I have also noticed a lot of the input and suggestions come from those who really aren’t going to do either.

Now, a real, true dilemma would be if NOTHING were happening…..We would not think that was too great.

Another Car Show Month is “In-the-Books”

BUT, never fear! There is lot’s more very near!

Before going any further let’s all wish Julian LeBlanc a speedy recovery and quick trip back on the saddle.

How about:

  • Wednesday Hot Rod Hangout at Ricardo’s and meet some new folks – “Official” start time is 9:30, but this time of year many are already eating by 9
  • Saturday swing on over to Perks for Cars & Coffee 7-4-15 It will probably be a pretty hot day…DUH! If you would like to arrive a little early that may be all good
  • Tuesday is the Mesquite Area Classic Car Owners at Play Offs – These Mesquite kids are a really fun, fine group of real car lovers and everyone is welcome to join them……several of us have been down a couple tto times

By the way, if you have ever wonders why there are certain things within the post which are in Blue & Underlined well, that is so you may just click on that and view the flyer….I know for those who already know this it seems very redundant, but not everyone knows.

Great People, Great Cars, and Great Fun!!!!

40, or so, collector car types came on out this morning and about locked up the back area of Bishop’s Grill out on the East Side of St. George. The reason I mention the “East Side” is because now there is another Bishop’s up and running over on the West Side in the Albertson’s Shopping Center off Dixie & West Sunset Blvd. We wish them the best in their expansion…….Back to this morning — We really should give the servers, cooks, and the management over there a great big THANKS for taking such good care of us. The food is always great, the prices good, and the service about unbeatable….Again, THANKS!

After chunking down all the great food while laughing, chatting, and making up stories we headed over to Stan & Carmen Snow’s place for a tour of their shops, displays, and barns full of all kinds of great stuff. Darin Snow, their super son, gave us an additional and unexpected tour of another whole outfit we didn’t expect to see. WOW!

“COOL” Saturday Morning Planned

Meet at Bishop’s Restaurant in Washington at about 8:30 and after breakfast we will cruise out to Stan & Carmen Snow’s (Washington Dam Road) for a “Cool” look at their Classic Collection and historic mural.

This time of year the “early cruisers” are the ones having fun.

The day, on Saturday, is shaping up to be one of hottest of the year so far at about 109 👿

Cruise to Stan Snow's

Try IT, You May Like IT!!!!!!!!!

Join a group of some of the greatest people on earth for no extra charge……Hot Rod Hangout!!!!

Just a bunch of friendly people from all walks of life with two things in common; they all love people and cars! Just a shade under a half of the “Hangouters” are women. Nuff said!

Car Shows and Heat Pound On

It shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out the best time of the day in the Summer even though it isn’t “officially” here for another week (June 21st)……

I put my money on the early mornings. About 5:23 AM is really awesome right now…Cooler temps, just getting light, and the sunrises are usually amazing in these here parts. This just adds up to make the early morning Car Show activities top of the heap for this old codger. By Saturday evening it will start to cool off again to make it to Iceberg.

  • Hot Rod Hangout at Ricardo’s Wednesday 9:30 AM (but, busy by 9 AM) Arrive early if you wish!!!
  • Cruise to Stan Snow’s Meet at Bishop’s in Washington for Breakfast 8:30 AM Saturday and after eating cruise to Stan & Carmen Snow’s Collection for quick Tour off Washington Dam Road – Maybe 30 – 45 Minutes – Check out an amazing mural of parts of Southern Utah in the “OLDEN” Days
  • Iceberg 3rd Saturday  7 PM – 9 PM Cruise-In at Iceberg and please do not arrive prior to 6:45 so customers have plenty of parking until then – 200 East St. George Blvd

Lots to Do, Heat, + Some Rain Dampen Weekend Car Shows

But, that didn’t stop any of the fun and good times.

  • The “Kruise to Kanab” this morning was well attended with only one casualty, but the rest of the group went over and hooked up with a bunch of other St. George area Collector Car folks. Randy & Darlene Hoggan of SunRiver® took top honors with Dan & Ilona Sneidmiller, Jim & Patty Crawford, and Josh & Fredricka Schlatsenbacher (Bright yellow Lamborghini) also brought awards home to the far Western Utah Territories. The awards were handed out amongst a huge deluge with some hail added in at the end (snow predicted for this afternoon).
  • Tuacahn Saturday Market was attended by about 20 cars under a very chilly cover. Tuacahn has to be about the most beautiful spot on the planet…..nothing is better than that.
  • Rebels with a Cause was attended by about 27 people and the nachos were amazing…..actually the shade and the breeze made it pretty nice out there despite the flurries there and about….the Aussie contingent was enjoying the evening.
