Dixie Sunset Plaza Car Show Outstanding

Even though it was not what you may call a real cars show it had that feel to it. There were just the right amount of cars and great people out on this Thursday evening. The weather cooperated with a nice little breeze and 88 degrees which is almost parka weather for us here at the end off June. The Car Guys Care coordinated effort will continue to grow and provide another great venue for Collector Car enthusiasts of all types.

Sandwiched between Dubs BBQ and Hungry Howie’s Pizza is the new Taco Shop with a $2 menu which turned out to be pretty good. All evening there were a nice line of spectators coming through to view the cars and grab a pizza or ribs to go. I don’t know what could have made things better (well, maybe another couple dozen cars).

The sun was at an angle making photographing a little difficult, but here is kind of what was happening….BELOW  ↓

Robert & Renon’s “T”-Bucket is always sharp….they also brought out a grandson who thought a late model Mustang was the hit of the show. In the photos are Russ & Gheri Boyce’s Sharper-than-Sharp ’53 Fat Fender Ford and Patrick & Annabel Curtis’s ’50 Ford.

Bob & Sherri Anderson brought out their International favorite standing low and lookin’ good, and the next one show a late model Z06 next to Jim’s decked out Chevy.

Larry & Cheryl Barnett’s ’48 Convertible sure looks good and parked next to Jim and Patty Crawford’s Porche is always a good spot to be. A Couple of the greatest Mustangs around tucked behind Jim’s Porche and next to Bruce & Nancy Carlton’s Falcon Convertible just this side of Ken & Linda Kay’s VW Double Cab

On the left is Julian LeBlanc’s Camaro & hidden behind that is Johnny & Rose Balderrama ’09 Mustang. Barely able to see (click on the photo to enlarge it) is the ’37 Plymouth brought out by Vince & Lana Reece….Lana’s sister Olga (first time ever out of Russia) is visiting from Russia and was able to come out and share in the fun. In Russia there isn’t the number of heavy metal vehicle there, as most are very tiny and unreliable.

All in all, a great Cruise-In, Show and Shine, mini Car Show, and we are positive next month will even be better (However, only a fool would expect us to be so lucky witth the temperature next time.
