Ricardo’s Hangout a BIG Surprise

Thanks to our friends to the North with the Iron County Rodders the Hangout at Ricardo’s this morning was over the top…..Fun for all with laughter, chatting and even some tale-spinning!!!!!

This ended up being a real Car Show feeling for just a Cruise-In and Show & Shine. You have to love St. George and Washington County for adding the great warm morning for us to just “hangout” after eating….it seemed no one was in any big rush to head out.

A couple of weeks ago Paul & Sara put a ticket on the bottom of one of the chairs at Ricardo’s and this morning Yvonne found it and won a 2-CD set of Doo-Wop…NICE!!!!!!

Yvonne the WINNER

This sweet, quiet little Corvair isn’t quite so quiet as you may think when he fires up the smooooth 350 in this thing….cruised down from Cedar City with the other ICR’s

My wife and I attended the Temecula Rod Run on Sat. 3/8/2014. The Rod Run was very nice, however, when I got up on Sunday morning to return back home to Saint George I noticed my truck, trailer and my car inside were gone ( STOLEN ). The Temecula police did a full report on all three items. We were staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Jefferson avenue in Temecula, Calif., that is where they were stolen from the time of theft was between 9:00 pm Sat. & 5:00 am Sun 3/9/2014. Please keep an eye out! If anyone has any info. please contact Jim at or 435 590 4594. You could also contact the Temecula Police Dept. non emergency number 951 696 3000. Tuacahn Sat Market Car Show 039

The world is full of great places, but I don’t think there is anything that gets better than the setting at Tuacahn no matter what the event is

Tuacahn Sat Market Car Show 024

I hope I can get some of Don’s photos to put up here so you can really get a sense of just how large the turnout was at this spot, but my iPad will have to do for now

Anyone interested in cruising out as a group how about we meet at Ricardo’s Parking lot at 1110 South Bluff St. and then head over Blackridge and up Dixie Drive to Tuacahn Parkway and out????

We should probably meet up early so we can head out no later than 8:30 AM.

Hot Rod Hangout

You can go to the Gallery Section and see some photos of the Hangout at Ricardo’s

Weekly Hot Rod Hangout on Wednesdays at Ricardo’s Mexican/American Restaurant located at 1110 South Bluff Street in St. George, Utah which is where the old Claim Jumper Restaurant was located. The owner, Jeff, and one of the Managers, Jaimie, have agreed to allow us to have an area designated for us inside the restaurant and will allow us to block off a bit of the parking so we can have a clean, safe spot for all of the Special Interest Vehicles, Rods, and Classics. Although this is not a real Car Show per se, we hope it has that little bit of a feel when we converge. We usually have 18-30 participants and have had as many as 44 show up on a Wednesday morning at 10 AM. We are usually all out of there within a couple of hours. The menu is very good with Senior Menu, American Menu, Mexican Menu, full espresso bar, massive seating, massive parking, and something for everyone. Our 3 1/2 years at Jazzy’s was a good run and lots of fun, but the parking situation just got a little out of hand…….Reid, the owner, understands why we had to move locations and all is well there for any future visits or dropping in for a meal.
